The name of the lodge is inspired by the theory of theogonism developed by Ferekidis Vamvios which was influenced by the Orphic ideas, the theory of Thales, the mythological Theogony of Xiodos and the beliefs of the priests of ancient Egypt.

At the upper end of Ano Syros is the bust of the philosopher and poet Ferekidis Vamvios, while it is also said that this famous philosopher lived in a cave shortly after Kyperoussa.

Ferekidis went down in history for his work Theogonia.

It is also known for the most ancient solar observatory also known as the Sunflower of Ferekidis found in the village of San Michalis, a monumental structure created to determine the time and seasons with the movement of the sun.

Poets like Ferekidis, describing the genesis and life of the world and the gods, even unknowingly, tried to give an explanation of the first principle of things.
